Vegan Horchata

Prep Time: 10 minutes (plus time to soak)

Servings: 4-5 servings

Ingredients

• 250 g rice (2 cups)
• 250 g almonds (2 cups)
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 2 dates, pitted
• 1,3 ml water

Instructions

1. Add the rice, almonds, and cinnamon stick to a large bowl and cover with plenty of water. Let soak overnight.

2. Remove the cinnamon stick and drain the water. Rinse thoroughly.

3. Add 1 cup of the soaked rice and almonds to the filter basket along with one pitted date. Attach the filter basket to the top of the Mylky and twist to seal.

4. Fill the machine with 1.3 litres of cold water, then attach the top securely.

5. Press the mode button to select "nut milk." Press start and wait for about 1 minute until the machine stops completely.

6. Empty the filter basket, then add the remaining rice and almonds along with the other date.

7. Run the machine one more time.

8. Serve the vegan horchata directly into glasses filled with ice and garnish with a piece of cinnamon stick.
