Soy Milk

Prep Time: 30 minutes (and soaking)

Servings: 4-5 servings

Ingredients

• 1.5 dl yellow, shelled soybeans
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 - 3 split dates (pitted) (or other sweetener of your choice)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 teaspoon vanilla powder (optional)
• 1300 ml of water

Instructions

1. Rinse the soybeans well with water and let them stand in a bowl of water for at least 10 hours.

2. If your soybeans are not shelled, peel them.

3. Fill the filter basket with soybeans, salt and vanilla sugar and dates, if desired.

4. Fill the Mylky jug with water to the “Min” mark (1.3 litres). Add vanilla extract if necessary.

5. Turn on your Mylky machine, if the lights flash after a minute it is ready.

6. Pour your soy milk into a saucepan and simmer on medium heat for 20 - 25 minutes. Be sure to stir frequently. It is necessary to heat the soy milk because soybeans cannot be eaten raw.

7. Once your soy milk has cooled, it is ready!
